In 1964 – exactly 50 years ago – the Convention on the Elaboration of the European Pharmacopoeia was founded and five years later, its first edition was published. During this half-century, the development of sciences, public health – and in pharmacy is gigan-tic. In their publication, the authors review the dosage forms and auxiliary materials of the European Pharmacopoeia recently − 8th − edition.
